The International Professional Artists Symposium and Exchange, organized by members of the arts community on a not-for-profit basis, will take place in Nassau, Bahamas from October 15 to November 15, 2004.

The artists will work together for a month, each doing their own piece while exchanging ideas. The general public, students of art and schools in the community will be invited to visit the artists during that period, to see the way they work. At the end of the month the sponsors of the artists will receive an original painting or a piece of sculpture that they have seen come to fruition. They will have a sense of their contribution to the community and a high quality piece of art as well. There will be an interchange between the artists, between the students and the artists and between the general public and the artists, providing a learning experience for all involved.

At the end of the month, on November 11, there will be an art exhibition and sale of the artist's work at the New Providence Community Centre where the public will have an opportunity to see the paintings and sculpture that has been created.  The press will be on hand. There will be oral presentations and refreshments at this gala event. That evening, the sponsors will be presented with their exclusive works of art.
