How To Sell

Top 8 Easy Tips for Sellers

1. Details…Details…Details…
Provide potential customers every reason to purchase your item. Describe the item completely; specify shipping and insurance terms (who will pay?) and acceptable forms of payment.

2. Provide Pictures
'A picture says a thousand words…' and will give other members even more reason to bid on your item. The more unique your item, the more need there is for a picture. Don't be afraid to try HTML or URL's to dress up your ad.

3. Be Courteous - not Curt
Take the time to be courteous by responding to questions in a polite, professional manner. This is good business. Sourly worded e-mails could result in negative remarks, which could affect your integrity and limit your trading ability!

4. Stand By Your Item
Offer a money back guarantee.

5. Know your Potential Buyers
You can request information about members who have placed a bid on your item. Click on the Member's name to see their profile. Just because they have no past experience in the Marketplace, don't automatically assume they are a bad risk. They most likely are new members and should be considered honest and forthright.

6. Communicate with the Buyer
You may contact the buyer immediately even though he/she is responsible to contact you within three business days. Finalize the sale and exchange telephone numbers and addresses. Remember that e-mail communication can be limiting. Telephone your buyer if you have any concerns. Again be patient and practice the Golden Rule.

7. Buyer won't pay up?
For whatever reason, if the winning buyer and you cannot finalize the sale of your item; you should do two things. One, provide negative feedback to warn other sellers about the lack of integrity of this person. This will be investigated and the reneging buyer may have all site privileges revoked by BahamasB2B. Two, contact other interested parties and sell your item. They may still be interested in purchasing your item at their last highest offer. If not, BahamasB2B will investigate your complaint is legitimate.

8. Be Prompt in Shipment of Your Item
Once you receive payment, send the item as soon as possible. If you receive a personal check, deposit it straight away in your account, and send the item as soon as the check clears. We strongly suggest you explore all shipping options including mail tracking, insurance, registered, certified mail ect.. Explore all mailing options, including insurance etc. BahamasB2B has no responsibility in this area - it is up to you!
