This restaurant is no longer in operation. They lost their lease in the Nassau Beach Hotel restructuring.
Cafe Johnny Canoe Restaurant and Bar was the only truly Bahamian historical restaurant, Cafe Johnny Canoe offered Bahamian and American cuisine at reasonable prices.
A wonderful, truly Bahamian experience. The decor alone was worth a visit. Authentic Junkanoo masks & antique photos of "old" Nassau on the walls. A great selection of food from local seafood specialties, like conch fritters and blackened grouper, to big beefy burgers & fries, with salads for those watching their diet. Drinks and cocktails were generous servings & the guava duff was among the best on the island.
