Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation was founded in 1993 by Sir Nicholas Nuttall to educate people about the underwater environment and how to protect it. BREEF's mission is to promote a sustainable relationship between Bahamians, visitors and the marine environment. BREEF acts through teacher training courses, fisheries workshops, school programmes, and public education campaigns in collaboration with other conservation organizations.
