The Bahamas has produced a surprising  number of very talented artists, many who have contributed to the colorful history of the country. Bahamian Art showcases the richness, vitality and diversity of Bahamian culture on an international level. The Bahamas has been blessed with several internationally recognized artists such as Max Taylor, Brent Malone, Amos Ferguson and Antonius Roberts. Other prominent Bahamian artists include Jackson and Stan Burnside, Kendall Hanna and Malcolm Rae. An even greater number of promising younger artists seems to be emerging, such as John Beadle, Lillian Blades, Toby Lunn, John Cox, Rolfe Harris, Alton Lowe, Nadine Seymour Munroe, Tavares Strachan and others.

Their works, which include paintings, drawings, sculptures and Junkanoo pieces show the viewing public that there is far more to the Bahamas than sun, sand and sea. Bahamian art, embodies the emotional and physical involvement of the artists in the very fabric of Bahamian society.
