I will be visiting the Bahamas on 10/22-10/24/04. Are there any 4 star hotels that are operating during this time. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

To my knowledge there are only a few hotels in Grand Bahama that are rated 4-stars.

Pelican Bay at Lucaya is one of them. It will reopen, in tip-top shape, October 15, just in time for your trip.

Our Lucaya has the four-star Westin, but that will be closed until mid-December. However, the Sheraton at Our Lucaya (right next door and rated three-stars) is up and running again after the 14th of October.

The Island Seas Resort (four-star rated vacation rentals) are also back in action after repairs from the hurricanes.
