I just found this island and I'd love to go but I can only find 2 hotels. It appears that everything is booked up for the time in November that I want to go OR the rooms are $850 (usd) per night. I would like to bring my wife to the island as a surprise, but I do not know enough about the place to plan it sucessfully. I have no idea which end of the island is the best for swimming and snorkeling and which part of the island is great for fishing? I would need a small one bedroom house near the beach and we would need scooters or something similar to get around on. Are there any such rentals on Exuma? I want to plan it myself, but don't want to spend a fortune getting there. I would rather spend money on going out to dinner and golf and such. Exuma is a fantastic place and there are many options for what you seek. Having said that, I would contact Barry Benjamin at Club Peace & Plenty. The place is perfect for what you want.
