I would like to plan a vacation to the sandals Royal Bahamian. I have always wanted to go to a Sandals Resort. I want to go for MY 10 year wedding anniversary. I did not go on a honeymoon so I would like this trip to be worth my while . My biggest concern is the weather in late September. I don't want to be disappointed by rain and hurricane. Any know what the weather is like in mid September?

I think, except for last year, every September I can remember was fairly nice weather. We usually have a little bit of an "Indian Summer" in mid-September with the temperatures edging up a bit like in July or August.

But it is difficult to predict the weather, as any weatherman will tell you.

How accurate could you be in predicting the weather for an outdoor party in your own backyard, especially when attempting to predict six months in advance?

I say go ahead and book the trip. You've got a better than 60% chance of perfect weather. And even if it rains a bit, how terrible is it to be hunkered down in a luxury resort with your sweetie? :)

First off.. Sandals Royal Bahamian is on Cable Beach in Nassau.. not Freeport. The weather should be nice and warm in March, but bring along a cover up for the cooler evenings.

As for the Clothing Optional Beach.. It's really not at all like Jamaica. It's not even a private island, it's shared with another bunch of tours from the cruise ship. It's a small island, and the cruise ships have the front of the island and Sandals has the back end. This means there are hundreds of people milling around, including kids.

There are usually only 1 or 2 people who sunbathe nude.. and they find a discreet spot away from the group. Some tan topless, but they usually don't stroll the beach or get up for a drink without putting their tops back on.

Not a hedonism type thing at all.

I have an opportunity to visit Sandal Royal Bahamian at the end of October. My wife is very concerned about the hurricane risk. What is the history this time of year and do they have shelters available in the event of a hurricane?
