Is the Bell Channel Inn Hotel, located in Lucaya, a reasonable place to stay? Is the area safe and affluent or crime-stricken and rundown?

The Bell Channel Inn is a cozy little place (rated 2 stars) located across from Port Lucaya.

The neighborhood is fine but I wouldn't call the place "affluent".

they have a dive outfit right at the hotel with trips everyday. About 40 to 50 rooms, the place is low budget but clean and the employees are friendly. the beach is a safe fifteen minute walk away with some shade or a short taxi ride.
