The best beach on Paradise Island is the one right behind all the hotels. It is called Cabbage Beach, among other names. It is, at least, a mile of pure white sand and clear clean turquoise water.

It is open to the public and there are parts of it, if you don't mind walking a bit, that are fairly deserted at times.

There are a couple of nice beaches on New Providence (Nassau) as well. Saunders Beach is one of them, just outside town, on Bay Street. Cable Beach is another one, further west, down Bay Street.

You are in for a real treat!

If staying at the RUI, to access Cabbage Beach, you would walk out the back door of the hotel and step into the sand on Cabbage Beach. Couldn't be closer than that. :)

We will be going to Nassau with Royal Carabean. This is our second cruise to Nassau. Last time we bought a tour to Blackbeard cay we did not enjoyed it.
What are the best public beaches ? Are they ner the pier ? If not, how do I get there ? Are there umbrelas and chairs for rental ?
