I plan to fly out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL in late June 05 to Atlantis and stay several days. I believe I can buy a bottle(s) (e.g., Rum or Scotch) at the tax free store at the Ft. Laud. airport and bring it in to the Nassau airport. (I can't afford too many nights on the town with the high bar prices). How much is one adult authorized to carry into Nassau tax free? Please be specific on size of bottle allowed per adult as they make gallon containers too. Thank You.

Why bring spirits into the Bahamas a 40 oz bottle of rum is only $7.00 to $10 at the downtown stores,it costs more for a can of coke.

You can buy duty-free liquor here and often at prices better than in the US.
