My wife and I are very interested in the apparent peace and solititude of the islands. We are very private and with the limited number of individual rentals available, is there anyone or place we can "bareboat" a sailboat from. We are avid sailors and water people (from south Louisiana) and are looking to start traveling the Exumas extensively, but need to get our feet wet, so to say, before we buy our own sailboat and do any extensive stays. The area sounds wonderful, peaceful and pristeen. We love the Abacos but are looking for a warmer climate. Thanks for your time!

Check out www.TheCruisingDVDs.com

There is cruising guide information and video of each anchorage and settlement, from the Abacos through the Exumas and down into The Caribbean.

I'm also looking for bareboat charters in the Exumas.

Any info would be much appreciated.
