In the timeshare units? I have read mixed reviews. any info would be helpful. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
It is an older resort, situated on a nice beach very isolated from the rest of the island. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
I was there checking it out a couple weeks ago we stayed at the Ritz Beach resort, and we did the tour at Xanadu......SKIP IT, the place got hit hard by the hurricane and they are still rebuilding the place. No offense to those that like Xanadu, but there is no way I would stay there, the place looked run down and they were very pushy about trying to sell us time share. If you can use your time share elsewhere, stay at the Ritz Beach resort in freeport, it's a very nice place, much much better than Xanadu. This is where my wife and I just went for our honey moon 10-9-05 through 10-15-05. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
We stayed at Xanadu in a time share from 10/8 to 10/22. The accommodations were lovely with a beautiful view, daily maid service, and some of the friendliest people around. The beach is just gorgeous. The one drawback is that the resort is so far away from Port Lucaya with no local bus service. Taxis are very expensive. We won't stay there again for this reason. I understand there was $3.5 million in damage done from Hurricane Wilma which hit after we left. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
It is trashed now. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
I still am waiting to hear if the casino in Port Lucia is open for business and also how much landscape was ruined at Ritz Beach Resort by the hurricane? Can anyone let me know. I am arriving soon and am very curious about conditions at the Resort. Thank You. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
Yes, the casino is open but the landscaping is pretty beaten up. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
Does anyone know if you can use your calling card from the US to call home when you arrive in Freeport? More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
US calling cards will not work in The Bahamas. You have to buy calling cards from the Bahamas phone company. They are available everywhere. More info: Bahamas | Bahamas Vacations | Bahamas News | Bahamas Real Estate
