I'd like to why, when the island is portrayed as such a friendly place, Club Fortuna staff treats people like they're crimminals?

While visiting I drove my car into the lot, past a security check point. No one ever came out of the booth to my car. When I was leaving, a teenaged looking boy in a security uniform made me get out and demanded I open my trunk so he could search it. When I said I am not an employee so why am I required to do that. He said because I was on the property anyway. I co-operated as the exit was blocked.

This is not a very welcoming place. I didn't think I was in a police state where I would have to be subjected to searches.

I'd never go to Viva Club Fortuna again!!!

I am coming to GBI in Dec 2005, how much has the island changed since last years hurricane? All the info and photos I have seen look so nice - are they old photos? Is there any affordable ferry from GBI to Euthura?
