Are there any services that provide maids above and beyond standard hotel maid service? We will be staying for a week (8/6 - 8/13), and would like to hire someone to help with meals, cleaning, grocery shopping.

You might want to contact your host to see if they know of a private maid service that can accommodate you.

Most Bahamas hotels and even private vacation rentals have people they can call in, on a free-lance basis, to take care of such tasks.
