I will be traveling with a cruise group in Nov. and I would like info on cost of taxi- tour around the different areas that are considered "must see and do" sights of Freeport/Lucaya areas . I have heard that Gold Rock Beach is one of the most beautiful and I would love input and suggestions from others on "not-to be missed" things that can be seen in 1 day. Would like to do several things, love beaches, really into snorkeling, try some local eats and maybe have a little time to shop. Also looking for something other than ships usual "pre-packaged" excursions.

Taxi cabs are located at the International Airport as well as major hotel and town locations.

Aproximate Rates:

From Lucayan Harbour to:

Resort at Bahamia $4.00 per person
Xanadu $4.50 per person
Port Lucaya Marketplace $5.00 per person
Taino Beach/Resort/Ritz $6.00 per person
Viva Fortuna $7.00 per person

Grand Bahama Airport to:

Lucayan area $4.50 per person
Viva Fortuna $6.25 per person
Resort at Bahamia $3.50 per person
Xanadu, Woodbourne, Running Mon Marina $4.00 per person

Metered rates are $3.00 for the first quarter of a mile and 40 cents each additional mile. Additional passengers over two $3.00 each. Additional information can be obtained from:
