Hello:
I have talked to many of my Biminite friends over the last week, after learning of this from one of them last Friday. There was one hotel guest who escaped; apparently he was the last one to see Julian who was attempting to extinguish the fire, but it quickly engulfed the entire building. Julian's remains have been found; they are awaiting firm confirmation (via DNA tests) now but don't expect results real soon (as remains were taken to Nassau). The fire completely destroyed the Angler. The entire island is saddened by this tragic event. I'll always have very fond memories of the Angler - been going to Bimini for almost 30 years and we were married there too. Jennifer L. (Wash DC area)

My husband (Roy Coleby) worked in a band there few years ago. I'm sad to hear it's gone and even sadder to hear about Julian. My condolences to his family and friends.
