From what I can gather, thousands of Americans were scammed back in the 60's and 70's when they bought approx. 1 acre lots from Grand Bahaman Development Company. The land has never been developed for building of any kind. There are no utilities, no roads, etc. and some issue about a water-table, and no one is allowed to build on the lots. Furthermore, the development company has been charging the owners annual service fees for the last 40 years, which they have been paying. The more you look into Lucayan Estates, the worse it seems to get. Many posts refer to trying to get a class action going, but I cannot seem to find anything saying there is or was one. If anyone has any info, please email me! Thanks!

I supposedly own property in Lucaya Estates. So as to what I am reading I have been paying $100.00 a year for over 40 years plus what I paid for the property. I receive a bill every year and payment can be made on line to royalbank.com. They also give a description of the property.
I flew to the Bahamas in the 80's and could not find anything out about the property at that time. I was driven to a spot and told that is as far as we can go. The person that drove me there pointed to an area and said that is where it is,a lime field was in front. If there is a class action suit I would be interested and also how to get more information pertaining to Lucaya Estates.
