Hi,
We are coming to Nasseau on Sep. 10th and were not sure how much the area aound had been impacted by the hurricane. I am sorry to be asking these questions but wanted to be prepared so that there are no major surprises. Is the area badly hit? Are the beaches still ok to access or need a lot of clearing up and cleaning? The weather forecast says showers all through. How is the weather after the storm? Has it been raining all day? Just wanted to see what kind of activities if at all we can even do and if it is even worth coming that far. Thanks so much.

None of the major hotels in Nassau suffered any real structural damage. The beaches are "good to go" and most attractions are back to normal.

There was flooding in the low lying areas but that should not affect tourists.

The weather is pretty much back on track, although some occassional showers are expected.

By the 10th of September, everything should be pretty much back to normal (except for the trees), OR, we will be getting hit by hurricane Ivan. :(
