FirstCaribbean Wins Euromoney Award for Excellence
FirstCaribbean International Bank Bahamas has been awarded Best Bank in The Bahamas in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2010.
Acknowledged as one of the most prestigious in the banking industry, The Awards for Excellence were announced on July 8 at a gala dinner in London, England. The dinner was attended by over 400 bankers from across the globe.
FirstCaribbean’s Chief Executive Officer John D. Orr noted that the award acknowledges the bank’s solid performance in a challenging economic environment. He said:”Enhancing shareholder and client value by providing innovative products and services is our key business priority. This supports our strategic focus of building long-lasting client relationships.”
Since 1992 Euromoney, the world’s leading financial markets magazine, has singled out outstanding institutions in finance. The Awards for Excellence now incorporates 25 global awards for banking and capital markets; and awards for the best banks and securities houses in almost 100 countries around the world.
All of the awards have one central theme: They recognize institutions and individuals that demonstrate leadership, innovation, and momentum in the markets in which they excel. Banks are required to submit their credentials for the awards which are analysed and reviewed by a committee of senior Euromoney journalists, chaired by the magazine’s editor, Clive Norwood.
All of the winners of the Euromoney Awards for Excellence are published in this month’s issue of Euromoney magazine.banking
