As the Bahamas branch of Special Olympics begins its annual fundraising drive with the intent of developing Special Olympics in the Bahamas and financing the Bahamas’ athletes in international competitions this year, corporate friend Ports International joined in their efforts with their annual monetary donation to assist in our nation’s youth.

The donation will go towards the costs of the ongoing advancement of these special children. Through its sports programs, Special Olympics strive to provide long-term benefits to individuals’ health, self-esteem and social integration.

Over 400 athletes throughout the country train and compete in 7 different Olympic type summer sports.

For more information, to make a donation or to offer your services as a volunteer, contact Special Olympics Bahamas at (242) 356-2433 or email them at specialolympicsbahamas@yahoo.com.
