Two Jamaicans Arrested in The Bahamas

Two Jamaicans are among six people arrested  in The Bahamas for the illegal possession of drugs.

Bahamian police say they were arrested after a team responded to a distress call from a vessel north east of the country.

The authorities have not disclosed the name of the two Jamaicans and the four locals arrested. But the police say the team seized 86 pounds of marijuana with a street value of US$86,000.

They say the drugs were found in 47 taped packages and that the boat has been seized.
