Conde Nast Traveler magazine says its subjective annual Readers’ Choice Survey asked readers to rate cities on a number of factors, including “friendliness.”

It said the results didn’t always reflect the local residents.

Such is the case with Beijing, which made number six on the unfriendly list after being dissed for its “terrible pollution” and “dirty streets and hideous traffic.”

World’s friendliest cities according to Conde Nast Traveler

11. Budapest, Hungary

9 (tie). Seville, Spain

9 (tie). Savannah, Georgia

8. Cape Town, South Africa

7. Siem Reap, Cambodia

5 (tie). Sydney

5 (tie). Dublin, Ireland

4. Charleston, South Carolina

3. Victoria, BC, Canada

1 (tie). Melbourne

1 (tie). Auckland, New Zealand

  • Unfriendly and no respect for women of any kind. Your country should be ashamed of it’s self the way you treat women, don’t your men, no, your boys, don’t they know they came from a woman. A mother, grandmother, sister or and aunt, don’t they have them in their lives? Besides all the crime destroying your country, why are the male added to the problem by discrimination against their own women? Your country is not only listed as one of the most unfriendly places to visit, but also as one of the most discriminative country in the World next to Iran. Whatever happened to Paradise, what a shame, what would the forefathers say if they saw what the Bahamas has become?
