At least eight government ministers have not filed their public disclosures for this year, according to their own admissions. This means they have violated the law and should be arrested.
Prime Minister Perry Christie has thus far failed to show strong leadership and no amount of skirting around the core issues at hand will change that fact, according to former Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Minister A. Loftus Roker.
Free National Movement (FNM) Leader Dr. Hubert Minnis said Members of Parliament who have failed to comply with the law and make their financial disclosures should be arrested.
Dissention within the FNM ranks, despite their denials to the contrary, together with the DNA party’s new kid on the block aspirations, do not bode well for either party as a three party race benefits neither of them.
Just as we have, Dr Munroe must also have had cause for concern about how gambling money could possibly corrupt a system. Hence his insistence on a well regulated national lottery with the closure of all webshops.
The government’s projected revenue forecast of $12 million from taxing web shops only plays into the narrative that it is paying back web shop bosses, Fort Charlotte MP Dr. Andre Rollins said yesterday.
As Yogi Berra said, “It’s like deja-vu, all over again”, as the PLP gets set to repeat the mistakes of the drug-fueled 1980s, when they basically legalized criminality… and we are still suffering the consequences of that.
People are just tired of Perry Christie and Bradley Roberts wasting time stating how great they are and how hard they are working. The PLP had a great run, but it must change quickly or die.
Talk about a “friends & family discount”… if you know the right people at BEC, you can skip out on paying your electricity bills, while others get their power shut off if they are even 1-day late.
