BEC Union Members On 'Go-Slow'

Yesterday it was reported that BEWU members have officially launched a series of industrial actions that could escalate to power cuts.

Industrial action against BEC management has begun, according to Bahamas Electrical Workers Union (BEWU)) vice president Stephano Greene.

Yesterday it was reported that BEWU members have officially launched a series of industrial actions that could escalate to power cuts.

Speaking to The Tribune, Mr. Greene said union members at BEC are on a "go slow".

Mr. Greene had reportedly told the press that at  the Labour Department on  Wednesday, the union had dealt with a frustrating meeting with management personnel who failed to compromise their position regarding five of six industrial issues.
