Police Report Early Morning Robberies

According to police reports, the men also attempted to force the man into the car, but he dropped the bicycle and ran.

Police officials were on Wednesday on the lookout for the four occupants of a red Honda Civic believed to be the culprits behind two early morning armed robberies.

Police said around 1:30am the suspects reportedly approached a 23-year-old male resident of Marathon Road.

The man had just withdrawn funds from the ATM machine at the Mall of Marathon, police said.

According to Police Inspector Walter Evans, the bandits then ordered the man into the vehicle where they robbed him of $200, a cell phone and a watch before releasing him.

Police said it was only a few minutes later that they received reports of the vehicle being seen in the Minnie Street area, just off Robinson Road.

At the time, a 19-year-old was reportedly riding his bicycle when he was approached by three occupants of the vehicle.

According to police reports, the men also attempted to force the man into the car, but he dropped the bicycle and ran. Police said gunshots rang out, but no one was injured.
