Diving

Bimini has magnificent reefs teeming with every kind of sea life imaginable and some of the finest dive spots in the world are found here. The "Bimini Road" or "Road to Atlantis" was made famous by numerous Discovery Channel specials, and the "Bimini Barge" was rated "one of the ten best wreck dives in The Bahamas and Caribbean" by Skin Diver Magazine.

Big Game Fishing Capital of the World

Challenge your fishing skills in one of the many fishing tournaments held in the Bimini Islands. With their prime location in the middle of the Gulf Stream, The Bimini Islands give fishermen a chance to set new fishing records in deep seas filled with marlin, tuna and other game fish.

Bottom fishing is also popular here, and large groupers, snappers and wahoo have been caught just minutes off Bimini's shore. If you are interested in bonefishing, cruise over to the Great Bahama Bank and wade barefoot in the crystal clear waters. Or, hop aboard a charter boat for a scenic daylong outing.

Freshwater Wells of Bimini

One of the things Bimini, Bahamas has become known for over the years are its legendary wells. The well known as the "Fountain of Youth" was allegedly visited by Ponce de León during his search for a mythical fountain in 1513. Other natural rock wells, with more mundane attributes, have also been discovered inland on South Bimini, hidden amidst ruins of mansions and sugar plantations.

Water Sports

With water temperatures averaging about 80 ºF year-round throughout The Bahamas, water sports such as kayaking ans snorkeling are popular vacation activities.

White Sand Beaches

The most-popular beach in Bimini can be found in Alice Town off Queen´s Highway, named Radio Beach. Bimini's continuous stretch of sand is known by its three sections, Radio Beach, Blister Beach, and Spook Hill, named for its location which is next to a cemetary. You won´t find any commercial water sports operations here, but the sun, sand, swimming and snorkeling are excellent.
