{"id":10243,"date":"2011-07-18T08:12:58","date_gmt":"2011-07-18T12:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=10243"},"modified":"2011-07-18T08:12:58","modified_gmt":"2011-07-18T12:12:58","slug":"new-union-for-customs-and-immigration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/07\/new-union-for-customs-and-immigration","title":{"rendered":"New Union For Customs and Immigration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>John Pinder, head of the Bahamas Public Services Union was defeated when customs and immigration officers voted in a near sweep for the newly formed Bahamas Customs Immigration and Allied Workers Union (BCIAWU).<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 1,000 officers voted with well over 51 per cent of the vote pushing Mr. Pinder out.
