{"id":1148,"date":"2010-08-23T08:50:50","date_gmt":"2010-08-23T12:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=1148"},"modified":"2010-08-23T08:50:50","modified_gmt":"2010-08-23T12:50:50","slug":"two-murders-mar-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/08\/two-murders-mar-weekend","title":{"rendered":"Two Murders Mar Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A young man known as &#8220;DJ Box&#8221; was shot to death on Gibbs Corner early Saturday morning in what friends say was a dispute over a woman.<\/p>\n<p>29-year-old Steven Walkes regularly deejay&#8217;ed at a club on Gibbs Corner known as &#8220;Kelsie&#8217;s Club.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He had stopped at a friend&#8217;s house on Gibbs Corner at around 2:30am when three men confronted him, one of whom was armed with a handgun.\u00a0 Walkes was shot after an &#8220;exchange of words&#8221; with the gunman.
