A woman is dead following a fatal car accident with a police cruiser Saturday evening.<\/p>\n
At approximately 4:40 p.m. on September 10, a police vehicle with registration number 232720 collided with a silver 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer with license number 17437.<\/p>\n
The deadly accident took place at the intersection of South Mall Drive and East Atlantic Drive in the Bahamia area.<\/p>\n
The woman who has not been officially identified was transported by ambulance to the Rand Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries around 10:00 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n
The deceased was the only person in her vehicle, but the police cruiser was driven by a male driver who was accompanied by a female officer.<\/p>\n
Both officers were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n
The female driver’s death marks Grand Bahama’s sixth traffic fatality for the year.
