{"id":11815,"date":"2011-09-13T08:49:03","date_gmt":"2011-09-13T12:49:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=11815"},"modified":"2011-09-13T08:49:03","modified_gmt":"2011-09-13T12:49:03","slug":"woman-dies-in-crash-with-police-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/09\/woman-dies-in-crash-with-police-car","title":{"rendered":"Woman Dies In Crash With Police Car"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman is dead following a fatal car accident with a police cruiser Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 4:40 p.m. on September 10, a police vehicle with registration number 232720 collided with a silver 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer with license number 17437.<\/p>\n<p>The deadly accident took place at the intersection of South Mall Drive and East Atlantic Drive in the Bahamia area.<\/p>\n<p>The woman who has not been officially identified was transported by ambulance to the Rand Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries around 10:00 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased was the only person in her vehicle, but the police cruiser was driven by a male driver who was accompanied by a female officer.<\/p>\n<p>Both officers were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The female driver&#8217;s death marks Grand Bahama&#8217;s sixth traffic fatality for the year.<br \/>\nPolice are continuing their investigation into the fatality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A woman was killed after a crash with a police car in the Bahamia area in Freeport.
