Six people were rescued after a small aircraft was ditched in waters off Grand Bahama. The pilot and five passengers, including two children and a woman six months pregnant, clung to the aircraft for about three hours in waters about 10 to 12ft deep.<\/p>\n
The aircraft was forced down due to engine trouble, according to reports. The pilot Fritz Cambridge contacted the control tower at Grand Bahama International Airport to report the problem at about 9:30am.<\/p>\n
None of the people were seriously injured. Jamie Rose, chairman of Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (BASRA) said a BASRA rescue aircraft, a US Coast Guard aircraft and a Defence Force boat were dispatched to locate the crashed plane.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
