{"id":12111,"date":"2011-09-22T09:47:15","date_gmt":"2011-09-22T13:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=12111"},"modified":"2011-09-22T09:47:15","modified_gmt":"2011-09-22T13:47:15","slug":"bahamian-designers-dissed-at-red-rose-ball","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/09\/bahamian-designers-dissed-at-red-rose-ball","title":{"rendered":"Bahamian Designers &#8216;Dissed&#8217; at Red Rose Ball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To the dismay of local fashion designers, a foreigner was chosen to features his fashion collection at this year&#8217;s Red Rose Ball.<\/p>\n<p>The Organizers of The Annual Red Rose Ball in Grand Bahama Island have selected Kazz Forbes, a foreign fashion designer, to to feature his 2011 designs at this year&#8217;s event.<\/p>\n<p>Forbes, the principal designer of Saint George Fashion House (SGFH), will show his Fall\/Winter 2011 &#8216;Le Caicos Chic: A Romance with Decadence&#8217; collection.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Rose Ball is a charity fund-raiser with all proceeds benefiting the Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee in Freeport, Grand Bahama.<\/p>\n<p>The ball takes place on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the Radisson&#8217;s Grand Ballroom at The Grand Lucayan.<\/p>\n<p>Under the theme: &#8216;A Night at the Opera House, Australia&#8217; &#8211; the black-tie charity affair will include a five-course meal, with\u00a0 a fashion show featuring Mr Forbes collection.<\/p>\n<p>Odette Knowles, Chairman of The Red Rose Ball said: &#8220;After seeing Kazz&#8217;s creativity and designs &#8211; I was so impressed, that when I was in dialogue\u00a0 with members from the committee regarding adding him in with a showcase of All Black and Black &amp; White to tie in with our theme &#8216;A night at the Opera House&#8217; \u2013 they all agreed without hesitation.
