{"id":12701,"date":"2011-10-07T08:29:33","date_gmt":"2011-10-07T12:29:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=12701"},"modified":"2011-10-07T08:29:33","modified_gmt":"2011-10-07T12:29:33","slug":"state-of-emergency-and-curfew-aid-in-crime-fight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/10\/state-of-emergency-and-curfew-aid-in-crime-fight","title":{"rendered":"State of Emergency And Curfew Aid In Crime Fight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad &#8212; Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said the state of emergency (SoE) and the curfew (11 pm \u2013 4 am) implemented in several areas of Trinidad will remain in place, until so advised by the security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a post Cabinet press conference on Thursday, she said the members of the security agencies spent several hours on Thursday addressing Cabinet.<\/p>\n<p>She said both measures, instituted on August 21, 2011, will be constantly reviewed. The three month SoE will officially end on December 5, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister said the security agencies have said the SoE and the curfew have been &#8220;valuable tools in the fight of crime&#8221;.
