{"id":1337,"date":"2010-08-25T21:29:44","date_gmt":"2010-08-26T01:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=1337"},"modified":"2010-08-25T21:43:22","modified_gmt":"2010-08-26T01:43:22","slug":"bahamas-hotels-hit-two-year-high","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/08\/bahamas-hotels-hit-two-year-high","title":{"rendered":"Bahamas Hotels Hit Two Year High"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1338\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" title=\"mot\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/mot.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"94\" \/>The &#8220;Companion Fly Free&#8221; program has helped room occupancy in The  Bahamas&#8217; major hotels soar to a two-year high, though they are still not  at pre-recession levels.<\/p>\n<p>According to preliminary statistics released by the Bahamas Hotel  Association and The Bahamas Ministry of\u00a0 Tourism, the 14 major New  Providence hotels recorded a 78.2 percent occupancy rate for July, the  highest recorded level since July in 2008 when occupancy rates reached  78.7 percent.<\/p>\n<p>This occupancy rate, combined with an increase in average daily room  rate (ADR) of $18.33 over the same period last year, generated a 17.4  percent room revenue boost and an 8 percent increase in room nights  sold.
