In glaring hypocrisy, police, the Bar Council and the media are hiding the identity of a crooked “senior” lawyer who has been suspended from practice while being investigated for stealing funds from a client.<\/p>\n
Almost anyone else under similar circumstances would be identified in the media.<\/p>\n
But the Bar Council, a breeding ground for corruption in the legal system, is somehow able to protect the identity of their corrupt brothers in a way that makes a mockery of justice.<\/p>\n
It is not clear why police, who are always eager to publicize the names of ne’er-do-wells, would assist in the protection of the crooked lawyer’s identity.<\/p>\n
It could be due to the fact that the perpetrator is a “senior” lawyer and pressure from cronies in the legal field could play a role.<\/p>\n
The public has a right to know of any lawyers, doctors, police officers or politicians who have done wrong or are under investigation.\u00a0 It is a matter of public record and such information should not be withheld.<\/p>\n
