Member countries span six continents and oceans from Africa to Asia, the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and the South Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders of the 54 Commonwealth countries meet every two years to discuss global and Commonwealth issues and to agree on collective policies and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>CHOGM 2011 will be the largest ever gathering of world leaders in Australia and the biggest international event to be held in Perth for almost 50 years.
