The PLP remains laced and loaded with all talk and excuses.”

The statement went on to say that the people of Grand Bahama, and by extension, the entire Bahamas, trust the FNM to deliver.

“We are proud of the ongoing work being carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, headed by the Honourable Neko Grant, Member of Parliament for Central Grand Bahama. Since coming to office, Grant has had a structured program of rebuilding what was left undone by the PLP; the dock in Water Cay, the Post Office in West End, the Produce Exchange in Freeport; the Fish Fry in Eight Mile Rock new defense has been constructed, and the project is out to tender for the construction of a state of the art Cultural Village. Architectural plans for the fire station have been completed.”

The safety of residents; their lives and property, and the working condition of firefighters are as important now as they were from 2004 when the fire station was destroyed by hurricane during the PLP’s term in office and replacement promises were made, the statement read.

The FNM will not be drawn into the PLP’s desperate media campaign for power.

“The PLP makes promises. The FNM delivers.”

The release further noted that the FNM Government and its ministers are proud to run on an unmatched record and need not hide behind the voice and or view of any honest, objective, dedicated, and hardworking civil servant.

“The PLP wasted millions of dollars in the best of times, while the FNM can point to countless projects that benefit the Bahamian people in these most challenging times.
