New court papers filed in the case reveal Weezy “can’t remember” why he didn’t make it to the show in 2009, but is adamant he wasn’t intoxicated. Promotions company Red City Entertainment later sued the Young Money captain for the $432,000 they claim to have lost on the show.<\/p>\n

“At no point [that night] did I become so intoxicated that I passed out on a bed in my suit, or anywhere else,” said Wayne in papers obtained by TMZ<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The ‘Lollipop’ rapper insists he didn’t bother turning up after hearing of a series of technical hitches at the event – but admits he can’t actually remember any details.<\/p>\n

Weezy has admitted to battling a brain-scrambling – and potentially lethal – promethazine and codeine dependency during the period, which he was forced to overcome ahead of a year-long jail stint in 2010.<\/p>\n

The rapper recently even completed a ‘teetotal World Tour’, with no alcohol allowed near him or his entourage during concerts in South Africa and Australia.<\/p>\n
