{"id":2091,"date":"2010-09-15T12:07:40","date_gmt":"2010-09-15T16:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=2091"},"modified":"2010-09-15T12:07:40","modified_gmt":"2010-09-15T16:07:40","slug":"symonette-off-to-caricom-cuba-summit-in-havana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2010\/09\/symonette-off-to-caricom-cuba-summit-in-havana","title":{"rendered":"Symonette Off to Caricom-Cuba Summit in Havana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NASSAU, The Bahamas &#8211; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Brent Symonette will lead a delegation to Havana, Cuba to participate in the Third Caricom-Cuba Ministerial Meeting, Friday, September 17, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The main issues up for discussions are Caricom-Cuba relations as well as Haiti&#8217;s reconstruction following the January 12, 2010 earthquake.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be an exchange of views on items on the International Agenda such as:<\/p>\n<p>The environment and sustainable development;<br \/>\nThe Millennium Development Goals; and,<br \/>\nIntegration and political coordination in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>Eugene Newry, First Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration will accompany Mr Symonette.
