In contrast, the FNM has delivered on healthcare and will deliver again. The record is clear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLP Promises in 2002<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce National Health Insurance as a matter of the most urgent priority. \u00a0\u00a0FAILED<\/li>\n<li>Transform Princess Margaret Hospital into a first class care facility. \u00a0\u00a0FAILED<\/li>\n<li>Modernize Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre. \u00a0\u00a0FAILED<\/li>\n<li>Develop regional hospital in Exuma. \u00a0\u00a0FAILED<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the level of infant mortality. \u00a0\u00a0FAILED<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PLP Promises in 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring into operation the National Health Insurance Act of 2006. (See 2002 Promises)<\/li>\n<li>Upgrades to PMH and the Rand. (See 2002 Promises)<\/li>\n<li>Upgrade and expand Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre. (See 2002 Promises)<\/li>\n<li>Mini hospitals on Eleuthera and Exuma. (See 2002 Promises)<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the level of infant mortality. (See 2002 Promises)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>But the FNM Delivered:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>FNM Promises in 2007<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce a Prescription Drug Programme. \u00a0DELIVERED<\/li>\n<li>Decentralise the delivery of health care through community clinics. \u00a0DELIVERED<\/li>\n<li>Renovate and expand Emergency Room at the Rand Memorial Hospital. \u00a0DELIVERED<\/li>\n<li>Renovate the Emergency Room at the Princess Margaret Hospital. \u00a0DELIVERED<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>FNM Promises in 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce, within three years, a National Catastrophic Health Insurance Programme<\/li>\n<li>Construct a maternal and child health wing and Emergency Department in PMH<\/li>\n<li>Construct community hospitals in Abaco, Exuma, Eleuthera and Long Island<\/li>\n<li>Expand the prescription drug programme to cover all workers and their families<\/li>\n<li>Upgrade of all community clinics to standardize primary health care delivery<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the level of infant mortality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Same PLP.
