Two sisters Ronaele Black, 33, and Alexis Black, 29, along with their reported boyfriends Lawrence Seymour, 37, and Samuel Gibson, 25, appeared before Magistrate Gwendolyn Claude in the Magistrate’s Court in Eight Mile Rock where they were charged with murder.<\/p>\n
The group was not required to enter a plea during the short appearance.<\/p>\n
They were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison in New Providence until August 23 when a preliminary inquiry is set to begin.<\/p>\n
Beneby, who was also known as Peter Charlton, died on Monday, February 14, 2012, after receiving two fatal stab wounds to the upper right corner of his back.<\/p>\n
The stabbing took place in the back of a wooden green and white home on I-95 in Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock.<\/p>\n
An area resident told The Freeport News earlier in the week that he saw Beneby just before he died, at which time he identified himself by his nickname and said, “this is Dog.”<\/p>\n
Police officers from the Eight Mile Rock Division were called to the scene of Beneby’s murder at 10:15 p.m. on Monday night where the fully-clothed man was discovered lying face down on the ground.<\/p>\n
When Emergency Medical Service personnel arrived at the scene, Beneby, a resident of Hanna Hill, Eight Mile Rock was already unresponsive.<\/p>\n
When The Freeport News spoke with Beneby’s uncle Meshach Charlton following his death, Charlton said while Beneby had his faults, he did not deserve to die in the way that he did.<\/p>\n
“As bad as he was, death is a different word from life. It is a loss and it’s tragic and it happened to be him at this time, but it’s a warning for everyone,” he said.<\/p>\n
“You reap what you sow at times, but it is a loss to the family,” he said.<\/p>\n
