{"id":21998,"date":"2012-05-23T12:32:20","date_gmt":"2012-05-23T16:32:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=21998"},"modified":"2012-05-23T12:32:20","modified_gmt":"2012-05-23T16:32:20","slug":"we-should-not-ignore-moodys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2012\/05\/we-should-not-ignore-moodys","title":{"rendered":"We Should Not Ignore Moody&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-21999\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" title=\"moodys\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/moodys-250x172.jpg\" alt=\"Moody's Credit Ratings\" width=\"250\" height=\"172\" \/>It is amusing listening to some callers on the radio talk shows, even those who consider themselves educated, dismissing the warnings of the Moody\u2019s credit rating agency about the Progressive Liberal Party\u2019s mortgage plan.\u00a0 You hear things such as \u201cwho cares\u201d and \u201cthey should stay out of our business\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The fact of the matter is that we should listen to what the international credit rating agency says, because we are absolutely dependent on foreign loans in order to survive.\u00a0 The Bahamas imports almost everything it needs, even food.\u00a0 In addition, our country runs on fiscal deficits year after year.
