{"id":23179,"date":"2012-06-28T06:40:33","date_gmt":"2012-06-28T10:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=23179"},"modified":"2012-06-27T22:49:00","modified_gmt":"2012-06-28T02:49:00","slug":"government-officials-encouraged-to-express-views","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2012\/06\/government-officials-encouraged-to-express-views","title":{"rendered":"Government Officials Encouraged To Express Views"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-23181\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" title=\"thougt-bubble\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/thougt-bubble.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/thougt-bubble.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/thougt-bubble-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>NASSAU, The Bahamas &#8212; Prime Minister Perry Gladstone Christie told Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Department that they must express their views on how the Ministries and Departments must be directed.<\/p>\n<p>He was speaking at the Ministry of Finance Budget 2012\/13 Budget Symposium at the Sheraton Cable Beach, Wednesday, June 27, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister said, \u201cIf when we make the final judgment, it flies in the face of your opinion, you would have done your job, because you have too much invested in you, to conform to what you think is politically right.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are no good to me, none, if you just listen to what I say.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said when a new Government administration comes into power, offices are fixed up for Ministers and they also receive new vehicles, while in sharp contrast the Simpson Penn Centre For Boys and the Willie Mae Pratt Centre For Girls are in desperate need of repairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese contradictions must be challenged by you,\u201d the Prime Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have an obligation to recognise what is happening in our country, and when the systems that we have, do not allow that to happen, we know they are deficient.
