{"id":23412,"date":"2012-07-04T10:42:47","date_gmt":"2012-07-04T14:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=23412"},"modified":"2012-07-04T10:43:16","modified_gmt":"2012-07-04T14:43:16","slug":"suspects-charged-in-home-invasion-rape-spree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2012\/07\/suspects-charged-in-home-invasion-rape-spree","title":{"rendered":"Suspects Charged In Home Invasion, Rape Spree"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_23413\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23413\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23413\" title=\"oscar-ingraham\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/oscar-ingraham.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/oscar-ingraham.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/oscar-ingraham-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23413\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Oscar Ingraham being led to court<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Two men who police allege broke into two homes and robbed and raped two women at gunpoint last month, were arraigned in a magistrate\u2019s court yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Oscar Ingraham, 27, of Claridge Road, and Marc Charles, 21, of Washington Street, could barely walk as police escorted them up the steps of the South Street court complex.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey beat me dead bad to try and make me sign things,\u201d Ingraham cried, proclaiming his innocence as police took the men to stand before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez.<\/p>\n<p>Once in court, Gomez read the long list of offenses the men were charged with, which included multiple counts of burglary, armed robbery, possession of an illegal firearm and rape.<\/p>\n<p>Police claim that between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Monday June 4, Ingraham and Charles broke into a home on New Providence and robbed a man there at gunpoint of $1,500 in cash and other valuables.<\/p>\n<p>Police allege that Ingraham and Charles then robbed a young woman in the home of nearly $30,000 in cash and jewelry, and raped her at gunpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Ingraham and Charles were also charged with possession of an illegal firearm during that robbery.<\/p>\n<p>Police claim Ingraham and Charles targeted another home on New Providence three weeks later.<\/p>\n<p>Police allege that on Monday, June 25, the pair broke into the home and robbed a man at gunpoint of $50 cash, an iPad valued at $500 and a MacBook Pro worth $2,500.<\/p>\n<p>Police claim Ingraham and Charles then raped a woman in that home at gunpoint and stole her gold earrings.<\/p>\n<p>They were also both charged with possession of an illegal firearm in that instance.<\/p>\n<p>Jermaine Bowe, 27, was also brought before Chief Magistrate Gomez in relation to those matters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two men have been charged in connection with a series of armed home invasions and rapes last month<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":25,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"rop_custom_images_group":[],"rop_custom_messages_group":[],"rop_publish_now":"initial","rop_publish_now_accounts":{"facebook_10223285771444175_51037792744":""},"rop_publish_now_history":[],"rop_publish_now_status":"pending","footnotes":""},"categories":[12],"tags":[151,31,219],"class_list":["post-23412","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-headlines","tag-court","tag-crime","tag-violence"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/23412","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/25"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=23412"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/23412\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=23412"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=23412"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=23412"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
