A 24 year-old Carmichael Road resident is expected to be arraigned on Monday for the robbery and assualt at the home of Bethel Baptist Church pastor, Reverend Timothy Stewart, and his wife.<\/P><\/p>\n
According to police press liason Officer Superintendent Hulan Hanna Sunday, the suspect was arrested late last week in connection with the crime.<\/P><\/p>\n
On October 31, an intruder reportedly entered the couple’s Westridge home, tied up the Reverend Stewart and took his wife downstairs where he allegedly assaulted her. <\/P><\/p>\n
The Reverend’s three children were also at home at the time of the attack. However, it is reported that the eldest of the three, a teenager was unaware of the attack until police were contacted.<\/P><\/p>\n
The intruder took several personal items including jewellery and Rev. Stewart’s car.<\/P><\/p>\n
