Police press liaison officer Superintendent Hulan Hanna reported one-armed robbery, a stabbing and one grievous harm incident over the weekend. <\/P><\/p>\n
He said that at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, TK Food store located Minnie Street was robbed by two armed men. <\/P><\/p>\n
He said one of the men held up a female employee and robbed the store of $200 cash, then escaped on foot. <\/P><\/p>\n
Grievous harm <\/B><\/P><\/p>\n
At 5:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon police received the report of a grievous harm incident occurring in the food court of the Marathon Mall. <\/P><\/p>\n
The incident he said occurred as a result of an argument between two young men. <\/P><\/p>\n
“During a scuffle, one of the young men produced a cutlass and chopped off the right index finger of the other young man,” said Mr Hanna. <\/P><\/p>\n
He said that the young man who was injured was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was treated and released. <\/P><\/p>\n
Stabbing <\/B><\/P><\/p>\n
The third incident said Mr Hanna occurred late Saturday evening on Fifth Street The Grove and Palm Tree Avenue. <\/P><\/p>\n
He said the stabbing was the result of an altercation between two men. <\/P><\/p>\n
“Apparently some words were exchanged, resulting in one of the young men being stabbed in the neck. <\/P><\/p>\n
The alleged assailant was also attacked by a group of men, believed to be the friends of the stabbing victim, and both of the men had to be hospitalised,” he said. <\/P><\/p>\n
Mr Hanna declined to release the names of the victims and assailants in the matters as investigations are still being conducted.<\/P>
