The bus will be driven and operated by the Taxi Union as a complimentary shuttle from Cable Beach hotels to the newly opened Waterfront Olde Towne Mall, located in the Sandy Port Marina village. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>&#8220;We are very excited about the addition of such a fantastic tourist destination as the Olde Towne at Sandy Port on the island,&#8221; said Bahamas Taxi Union president Leon Griffin. &#8220;The bus will be a unique feature in our fleet, creating employment and awareness of this new destination.&#8221; <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The bus will run hourly from SuperClubs Breezes hotel to Sandy Port from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The number 10 route buses that already run to Sandy Port will continue their services, approximately every 5-10 minutes on weekdays and 15-20 minutes on weekends. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The Mall opened this month, featuring The Cozy Corner Pub, the Miracus Day Spa and Beauty Salon, Floral Bouquet, Mrs. B&#8217;s Candle Factory, Fantastic Boutique, The Home Store and the Sandy Port Walk-in clinic. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>In addition, some 30 stores and two restaurants are expected to open in a few weeks. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>&#8220;The Olde Towne Mall, a festival market place, is at the forefront of the modern retail concepts that have been proven to work in America. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>By providing the synergy of entertainment, dining and retail within a source, waterfront pedestrian only setting a leisure experience will be created that gives the consumer something better than they have anywhere else,&#8221; said Sandy Port Development Company president Garth Buckner. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Sandy Port Development Company Chairman Hugh Buckner said that the Mall that &#8220;adds everything to a perfect day in The Bahamas.&#8221; <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>&#8220;The Towne greatly enhances the product offered to guests on Cable Beach and we believe it will become the major feature in the West.&#8221; <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Tourists and Bahamians can shop at the Mall until 9 p.m., accustomed to live entertainment, restaurants, a straw market and artist&#8217;s gallery. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The Mall is expected to emulate Nassau&#8217;s heritage and reminiscent of a proprietor time. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Snorkelling and other water activity are feasible with the Sandy Port beach just a walk away. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The Mall was drafted to feature a gym, medical facilities, a church and an Esso Gas station. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Phase two is currently under construction. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Once completed, the Mall will offer 30 stores, office space and apartments. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The Mall will offer some 136, 000 square foot of retail space, 20, 000 foot of restaurant space, 70, 000 square foot of apartments and 11, 000 for offices. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><B>By Khashan Poitier, The Nassau Guardian<\/B><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The Olde Towne Mall, a festival market place, is at the forefront of the modern retail concepts that have been proven to work in America&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"rop_custom_images_group":[],"rop_custom_messages_group":[],"rop_publish_now":"initial","rop_publish_now_accounts":{"facebook_10223285771444175_51037792744":""},"rop_publish_now_history":[],"rop_publish_now_status":"pending","footnotes":""},"categories":[12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-240131","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-headlines"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/240131","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=240131"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/240131\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":240953,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/240131\/revisions\/240953"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=240131"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=240131"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=240131"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
