{"id":240372,"date":"2003-02-04T22:33:48","date_gmt":"2003-02-05T03:33:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=240372"},"modified":"2021-02-14T08:55:54","modified_gmt":"2021-02-14T13:55:54","slug":"man-sentenced-in-vegas-money-laundering-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2003\/02\/man-sentenced-in-vegas-money-laundering-scheme","title":{"rendered":"Man Sentenced In Vegas Money Laundering Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A California man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison and fined more than 5.5 Million dollars for his role in a multi-million dollar investment scheme in Nevada. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>James Williams of Sacramento and two others were accused of operating an investment and securities fraud scheme out of Incline Village and Las Vegas. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Authorities say the three operated companies in the late 1990s called Trans-World Investments and Trans-World International. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The companies offered investors access to a nonexistent program that promised profits of 30 percent monthly.
