{"id":242693,"date":"2006-07-05T03:04:30","date_gmt":"2006-07-05T07:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/07\/jet-ski-operators-cry-foul"},"modified":"2006-07-05T03:04:30","modified_gmt":"2006-07-05T07:04:30","slug":"jet-ski-operators-cry-foul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/07\/jet-ski-operators-cry-foul","title":{"rendered":"Jet Ski Operators Cry Foul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Operators in the country&#39;s water sport industry have claimed that &quot;negative&quot; media publicity surrounding their profession is &quot;unfair.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the Nassau Guardian yesterday, Paradise Island water sport operators insisted that they were outraged at recent media reports, which, they said cast a dark cloud over their business.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I think the negative publicity is very wrong because what we do over here is provide a service for our tourists,&quot; said a jet ski operator, who spoke only on condition of anonymity. &quot;Sometimes we are going to have blunders because we all make mistakes but you know, as they say, we can do a hundred rights but the one wrong you do could overthrow the 100 right things you did.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>According to the operators, careful consideration is given  to the safety of their customers on a daily basis. &quot;We like to ensure the safety of our patrons despite what media reports indicate,&quot; said a Cabbage Beach jet ski operator. &quot;We have them sign a waiver and they must be 18 or older to operate the jet ski.
