{"id":243173,"date":"2006-08-28T11:05:07","date_gmt":"2006-08-28T15:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/08\/men-gunned-down-at-weekend-party"},"modified":"2006-08-28T11:05:07","modified_gmt":"2006-08-28T15:05:07","slug":"men-gunned-down-at-weekend-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2006\/08\/men-gunned-down-at-weekend-party","title":{"rendered":"Men Gunned Down At Weekend Party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police Inspector Walter Evans said the two victims \uff96 ages 25 and 28 \uff96 were at a party around 12am when gunshots were heard.<\/p>\n<p>The younger victim, a resident of Big Pond subdivision, reportedly sustained lacerations to the left side of the face, while the 28-year-old was shot in the face, according to police reports.<\/p>\n<p>Inspector Evans said both men were wounded seriously. However, their conditions were not life threatening.<\/p>\n<p>Police also reported Sunday that officers attached to Operation Quiet Storm recovered a 9-mm handgun and 11 live rounds of ammunition from a 20-year-old suspect in the Churchill Subdivision area around 3am.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police press liaison officer, the young man attempted to dispose of the handgun and ammunition upon seeing the police.
